Dave Ewart

Assistant Head Coach

Coach Ewart comes to the Sharks after coaching 24 years in arena football, seven years as a head coach. Most recently, Ewart was the Defensive Coordinator for the Arizona Rattlers where he won two Arena Bowls in Arizona. During his coaching career Ewart coached seven teams and was the head coach for the St. Louis Stampede (1996), Texas Terror (1997), Florida Bobcats (2000-2001) and Tampa Bay Storm (2011-2013). His coaching experience includes serving as a defensive line coach, offensive line coach, special teams coach, offensive and defensive coordinator. He began his pro football coaching career in 1994 with the Cleveland Thunderbolts. During his college football coaching career he was the offensive line coach at East Tennesee State in 1991 and he was both the offensive and defensive line coach while serving as the Offensive & Defensive Coordinator for Glenville State College from 1992-93. As a player, Coach Ewart started his college career at Salem International University where he was an offensive lineman. Ewart transferred to East Tennesee State where he was an All-Southern Conference selection and was a Division 1AA All-American.
