JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Sharks announced Tuesday that field corner Matthew Moro has been assigned to the Jacksonville roster on a one-year rookie contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 25-year-old Moro (6’0”, 195) will head into the 2016 season ready for his first experience in the Arena Football League. During his collegiate career, Moro spent time at West Virginia University, where he recorded six total tackles during the 2011 season, seeing most of his action on special teams.

Prior to attending West Virginia, Moro played at El Camino College, where he earned all-conference honors in 2010. During his time at El Camino, Moro totaled 54 tackles, three forced fumbles, two interceptions and seven pass breakups.

Moro is a native of Miami, Florida.
