JACKSONVILLE, Fla - The Jacksonville Sharks announce the addition of three new players to the roster. offensive and defensive lineman Kyle Webber, quarterback Stan Doolittle and lineback and defensive lineman Sasha Lancaster.
Webber (65, 296, Gardner-Webb) joins the Sharks for his rookie season in the Arena Football League after spending time with the New York Giants in 2010. Webber, a Jupiter, Florida native was a three year starter at right tackle while at Gardner-Webb. He was a pre-season second team All-Big South Conference selection heading in 2009. While at Gardner Webb he emerged as the teams most physically dominant blocker leading the team in knock down blocks in 2008 while also grading out as the teams top blocker overall that season.
Doolittle (63, 223, Gardner-Webb) also joins the Sharks for his rookie season in the Arena Football League. Doolittle was a teammate of Kyle Webber at Gardner-Webb as the teams starting quarterback. Doolittle, a Ninety-Six, South Carolina native was a three year starter and finished his career ranked seventh in school history with 5,190 yards and 32 total touchdowns while completing over 61% of his passes. In 2009 he led the Big-South Conference in total offense while being selected First-Team All Big South.
Lancaster (63, 275, Arkansas) joins the Sharks for his fourth season in the Arena Football League after spending time with the Los Angeles Avengers, New Orleans Voo Doo, Detroit Fury and Arkansas Twisters in his career. Lancaster, a San Antonio, Texas native and former Arkansas Razorback also played two seasons in NFL Europe and most recently with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL in 2008. While at Arkansas Lancaster played defensive line his first three seasons while finishing up at linebacker his senior year. Lancaster combined for 63 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks in his three seasons on defense at Arkansas including a sack on Michigan quarterback Tom Brady in the 1998 Citrus Bowl.
