The Jacksonville Sharks adjust their roster in preparation for the upcoming game against the Iowa Barnstormers Friday, May 13, 2011 by adding former ArenaBowl Champion LB Aaron Robbins. The Sharks have placed FB/LB Melvin Jenkins on recallable reassignment after his return from injured reserve.

Robbins (6’4, 285#) attended the University of Wyoming where he played defensive end. Robbins was an All-Mountain West Conference player in the 2006 season. Robbins led Wyoming in sacks in 2006 with four. He ranked seventh in the MWC in sacks in 2006. In 2003, Robbins earned All- MWC Honors as a Tight-End prior to moving to the defensive side of the ball.

Robbins finished his collegiate career with 138 tackles through 3 years. He played for the AFL Champions Spokane Shock in 2010, helping the Shock win ArenaBowl XXIII. As a member of the Shock he recorded 23 tackles, 4 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries. Robbins will join former Wyoming Cowboys teammate Isaac Morales as a member of the Jacksonville Sharks 2011 roster.
