05/25/2011 8:22 PM - The Jacksonville Sharks have completed a trade with the Milwaukee Mustangs for OL/DL Richard Clebert. Earlier in the season the Jacksonville Sharks traded DL Broderick Stewart to the Mustangs for future considerations. The trade for Clebert completes the future considerations.
Clebert (6'0, 335) is a graduate of the University of South Florida. As a Bull, Clebert played Nose Tackle and finished his career with 77 tackles and 5.5 sacks in 38 games. After graduating, Clebert was invited to mini-camp with the New Orleans Saints and later signed with the New York Sentinels of the UFL.
Clebert played in 13 games for the 2010 Arena Bowl Champion Spokane Shock last season where he managed eight tackles and 3.5 sacks . Clebert will now join his former Spokane teammate and current Shark Aaron Robbins in Jacksonville as players that won an Arena Bowl Championship in Spokane last season. Clebert currently has 3.5 tackles and a sack in the 2011 season.
ABOUT THE SHARKS: The Jacksonville Sharks are members of the Arena Football League(AFL). The reigning South Division Champions are presented by Sea Best Seafood and play all home games on Sea Best Field at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. The Sharks play next Friday, June 3 in New Orleans against the VooDoo. They will return to Sea Best Field Saturday, June 18 in a regular season match-up against the Milwaukee Mustangs.
