TWO SHARKS HONORED BY LEAGUE![]() For the first time this season, two Sharks have been awarded AFL Weekly Awards during the same week. Quarterback Aaron Garcia has been named Co-Offensive Player of the Week and Wide Receiver Jeron Harvey has been named Playmaker of the Week by the AFL Jacksonville Sharks quarterback Aaron Garcia has been named Co-Offensive Player of the Week with Tampa Bay quarterback Brian Zbydniewski. During the game Garcia completed 24 of 38 passes for 329 yards and 8 touchdowns. This is only the third time this season that Garcia has thrown for eight touchdowns and the 329 yards is the most that Garcia has thrown this season. Garcia now ranks second in the AFL in pass efficiency(125.4) and also ranks fourth in touchdowns thrown (74). This is the second time Aaron Garcia has won this honor this season. The first time he won it was against the New Orleans VooDoo on March 26, 2011. Jeron Harvey has been named AFL Playmaker of the Week after a five touchdown performance in the Sharks 68-67 nail biting victory over the Orlando Predators. Harvey caught 10 passes for 145 yards and 4 touchdowns. In addition he also had a 4-yard run for a touchdown. Harvey now has 1077 receiving yards on the season in addition to a Sharks franchise record 31 receiving touchdowns. This is the third time Harvey has won a weekly league award. He previously won Cutters Catch of the Week twice once after the Sharks dominating 58-42 week 8 victory over the Philadelphia Soul and again during week 13s victory against the New Orleans VooDoo.
