The Jacksonville Sharks are proud to announce Sharks WR/KR Jeff Hughley has been named to the 2011 AFL All-Ironman Team.

This is Hughley’s second consecutive season being named to the team after accomplishing the feat last season as a member of the Tulsa Talons. As a Shark, Hughley finished the 2011 regular season with 89 receptions for 1,171 yards and 22 touchdowns as a receiver while also adding 69 returns for 1,477 yards and 1 touchdown. Hughley combined for a “ridiculous” 2,651 yards in 2011, placing him 4th in the AFL on the season, while only playing 15 games on the year.

Hughley developed into one of the AFL’s top weapons as the Sharks approached the playoffs. In his last six games, Hughley totaled 69 receptions for 912 yards and 19 touchdowns. This stretch also included six consecutive games with 200-plus All-Purpose yards and back-to-back weeks of record breaking Sharks performances. In week sixteen against the Dallas Vigilantes, Hughley set the Sharks Single Game All-Purpose record with 331 yards. The following week in Kansas City, Hughley set the record for catches in a game with 18 against the Command.

The 2011 AFL-Ironman team also includes JLS Ironman of the year WR/KR P.J. Berry (New Orleans VooDoo), WR/KR Reggie Gray (Chicago Rush), DB/KR Jason Simpson (Chicago Rush), WR/KR C.J. Johnson (Georgia Force) and FB/LB Marlon Moye-Moore (Orlando Predators).
