JACKSONVILLE – The 2012 South Division Champion Jacksonville Sharks announced Thursday that “Split Tone” will perform live at the Sharks’ home opener on Friday, April 12. Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. as the Sharks host the New Orleans VooDoo on Sea Best Field at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena.

“We’re excited to have Split Tone as part of our home opener,” Sharks Managing Partner Jeff Bouchy said. “Bringing their unique Jacksonville Beach style to our downtown arena is the perfect way to kick off the 2013 season. This will be a great night for college students as the school year starts to wind down.”

The local six-piece act will play a live set inside the arena beginning at 6:45 p.m. The performance is a key piece of this game’s designation as College Night, as students, administrators and employees from all area colleges, universities and trade schools can obtain Buy One, Get One Free tickets by bringing their student ID to the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena box office.
