ATTACK DANCE FINALS TO BE HELD AT LATITUDE 30

09/16/2013 3:40 PM -

JACKSONVILLE – The 2013 South Division Champion Jacksonville Sharks and Attack Dance Team announced Monday that the final round of auditions for the 2013-14 Attack will be held at Latitude 30 in Jacksonville on Saturday, October 5. The event will begin at 2:00 p.m. and will be open to the public.

As usual, Shark fans are invited to attend the upcoming finals in order to support the finalists and enjoy the family entertainment available at Latitude 30. At this year’s finals, each dancer will have an opportunity to perform in front of fans before the final squad is revealed to those in attendance. Latitude 30 is located at 10370 Philips Highway in Jacksonville.

The final round serves as the culmination of what will be a two-week audition process. Auditions begin with three days of “prep classes,” to be held on September 23, 24 and 25. The preliminary round will take place on Friday, September 27, with the semi-finals set for the following day. All rounds of auditions prior to the finals will take place at First Class Athletics, the cheerleading gym owned and operated by Attack Dance Team director Kimberly Mayo.

Athletes from First Class Athletics will perform periodically throughout the Attack finals during judging and other breaks in action.

There is a $60 audition fee per dancer, payable by cash or credit card. Dancers will also be asked to print and complete a tryout packet prior to the first round of auditions. The packet contains dates and times for each step of the audition process as well as a registration form. Those who wish to try out should bring the completed packet, a recent color photograph and the registration fee to the first audition session.

The audition packet can be found online at
