JACKSONVILLE – The 2013 South Division Champion Jacksonville Sharks announced Monday that the team has added a pair of rookies to its 2014 roster, as defensive lineman Camah Mulabah and wide receiver Tristan Purifoy have each been assigned to the team on one-year rookie contracts. Per team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

The 23-year-old Mulabah (6’1”, 290) heads to Jacksonville after spending his collegiate career at the California University of Pennsylvania. Mulabah was a standout at the Division II level, earning Second-Team All-American honors as a senior in 2011. That season, Mulabah logged 70 total tackles (32 solo), 15.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks while also recording four fumble recoveries and two blocked kicks.

A three-year starter for the Vulcans, Mulabah notched 2.5 sacks as a junior in 2010 and 4.5 sacks as a sophomore in 2009. He saw immediate action upon arriving at campus, appearing in 11 games as a reserve defensive lineman in 2008.

A native of Sterling, Virginia, Mulabah attended Parkview High School.

The 23-year-old Purifoy (6’0”, 200) played at the University of North Alabama, where he emerged as one of the Lions’ top downfield targets as a senior in 2011. That year, Purifoy caught 58 passes for 867 yards and a team-high eight receiving touchdowns, leading his team with an average of 14.9 yards per reception. He also returned 12 kickoffs for 296 yards that season.

Purifoy totaled 15 receptions for 174 yards and a touchdown in 2010, his first season at North Alabama. He began his collegiate career at Jones County Junior College, where he totaled 31 receptions for 279 yards and three touchdowns during his two seasons at the school.

Purifoy attended Hoover High School in his hometown of Hoover, Alabama.
