JACKSONVILLE, FL - The Jacksonville Sharks (0-2) will have their home opener at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena on Saturday, April 6th against defending IFL champions, the Bay Area Panthers (1-0).
The Bay Area Panthers started their season last week at home against the Arizona Rattlers. The Panthers put away the game at 47-41 with WR J.T. Stokes scoring a touchdown at the end of the fourth quarter. Rookie QB Daquan Neal passed for 152 yards and four rushing touchdowns, with one passing touchdown. This is Neal's first season with the Bay Area Panthers.
The Sharks come into this weekend 0-2 after a narrow 33-39 loss to Vegas. WR Kamrin Solomon had three receiving touchdowns, keeping the Sharks alive during the game. QB Conor Blount passed for 167 yards with three touchdowns. Kicker Frankie Onate had two field goals in the second and third quarter and one deuce.
The Sharks are eager to learn from their mistakes and come back for a win in the Tank tomorrow night.
