Transaction notes: Chris Rice re-signed with the Sharks for the 2026 season.

Professional: In his 2025 season with the Sharks, Rice completed 17 solo tackles, 35 assisted tackles, 34.5 total tackles, and 6.5-16 TFL/yds. He also recorded 2.5-6 sacks- yds, blocked 1 kick, and forced 2 fumbles. Rice was a member of the CFL's Toronto Argonauts in 2023.

College: Chris played at Vermont State University from 2017 to 2021 with a record-breaking career. During that time, he recorded 228 tackles, eight forced fumbles, four blocked kicks, and 13 quarterback hurries. He was named Eastern Collegiate Football Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2019 and 2021.

Personal: Chris is from Bethel, Connecticut. He attended Bethel High School and committed to Vermont State in 2021. He attended the Tennessee Titans Rookie Mini Camp in 2022.
