Transaction Notes: James Cahoon signed with the Sharks for the 2026 season

Professional: Cahoon previously played for the Iowa Barnstormers where he recorded 127 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown with 2,888 passing yards and 56 passing touchdowns in his rookie year. He made 255 completions out of 463 attempts as well as one solo tackle. 

College: Cahoon began his career at Bridgewater State University (BSU) where he build a very memorable name for himself. His final season recorded a 63.2% completion rate with 182 completions out of 328 attempts, 2,099 passing yards with 209 yards per game, 13 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. He set a BSU record by throwing for 7,065 yards.
