Professional: Davis signed with the Miami Dolphins and the Kansas City Chiefs in 2020. In his first season as a Shark, Jay Davis appeared in 7 games. Attempted 7 kick returns for 65 yards with an average of 10.8. Davis recorded 21 solo tackles, 17 assisted tackles, and  2 interceptions for 40 yards.

College: Davis spent his collegiate career at Auburn University. He recorded 150 total tackles, eight interceptions, and two sacks during his career. Davis earned SEC All-Freshman team (2016), preseason Bednarik Award watch list (2018), All-SEC Third Team by coaches (2018 and 2019), and All SEC Fourth Team by Phil Steele (2018 and 2019)

Personal: Davis is from Jacksonville, Florida. He attended Edward White High School where he made First Team All-State and Jacksonville Player of the Year in 2014. He signed with Auburn University in 2015.
