Professional: Kickel spent time on the active roster for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers during the 2025 CFL season.
College: Matthew began his collegiate career as a walk on at Arizona State, redshirting his freshman year. He then transferred to Aurora, standing out at the NCAA Div. III level as an offensive lineman. During the 2023 and 2024 seasons, he was named an AP First Team All-American, D3 Football First-Team All-American, D3 Football First Team All-Region, and NACC First Team All-Conference, and a NACC Scholar Athlete.
Personal: Matthew is from Bolingbrook, Ill. The son of Peter and Sharon Kickel, he has two siblings: a brother named Andrew and a sister named Alison. He often goes by Matt.
